At Thury-Harcourt
Monday 20th April
Today we did a bit more looking around the town and having a pizza in a tiny restaurant for lunch.
We are wondering how the road works in London Road are progressing - especially after we heard that the gas was cut off for the weekend. Hope it wasn't too chilly in Church.
There's quite a lot of works going on here too! We keep coming across a man in a hole and wonder when this will be back to normal - this is France after all.
Interesting ornaments in this front garden. We rather liked this house too.We discovered the old lavoire where up until the 1950s was used for doing the weekly wash. And another view of the entrance to the old chateau. Some of the afternoon was spent just sitting on a seat near the old station in the sunshine with our books. We are getting rather used to this way of life again!
For a change from a baguette, we bought a seedy loaf. Not sure what the seeds on top are, and the bread is very yellow! Made a nice sandwich though. (Too windy to sit outside for tea today.) Perhaps toast for breakfast tomorrow.
